CAPE CHURCHILL
Tucked along the shores of Hudson Bay in Manitoba, Canada, the town of Churchill sits isolated from the rest of the world. Known as "the polar bear capital of the world," no roads lead to Churchill so the only way there is by air or train. Unless of course you're a polar bear. In that case, you walk or swim to town. Now, head 30 miles east and you go from isolated to remote, from town to tundra, landing at Cape Churchill. This magical point of land in Wapusk National Park reaches into Hudson Bay and sees the season's first formations of sea ice. So if town is the polar bear capital of the world, Cape Churchill is their playground.
